The Headstrong King Reverb chassis is a replica of the chassis found in the 1964 Fender Super® Reverb. So the King Reverb is actually many amps in one circuit. As a 4X10 it is a Super® Reverb, as a 2X10 it is a high powered Vibrolux® Reverb, as a 1X15 it is a Blackface Vibroverb® with a larger output transformer and mid control and as a 2X12 it is a beefed up Pro® Reverb. All of these amps shared the same tag board design commonly known as the AB763. There are minor differences in the board to accommodate different speaker configurations and power supplies. Output is right at 40-45 watts depending on bias and voltage settings. Lower wattage transformers are available for the 2X10/1X15/2X12 models.
