Headstrong now using Tung-Sol re-issue tubes
As of March 1, 2008 we have switched to the new re-issue Tung-Sol power tubes in
all of our 6V6 based amplifiers. We have done extensive tonal and quality testing
with these tubes and found them to sound and work best for our application. We will
still be using the TAD 6L6 tubes for the time being.

Charlie Hunter on tour with his Lil' King's
Be sure to check out Jazz guitar pioneer Charlie Hunter on tour this year with his Lil'
King Reverb's. Both of these amps are equipped with EL-34's for a few more watts. If
you have not heard or seen Charlie before, you owe it to yourself to check out this

Black Crowes release "Warpaint"
Check out the new studio release by The Black Crowes entitled "Warpaint" available
now at all major retailers and download sites. You can hear the custom amp we built
for Rich on 6 of the 11 tunes.

New for 2008
Currently we are working on a couple of new models. One model will be a small low
wattage amp that will run multiple power tubes in a single ended format. The next will
be the new Lil' King-S. We will have details on the higher wattage LK in the near
future. Look for the LK-S to be available in the next 2 months. Check back soon for
details.

We are also planning on keeping our more popular amps in stock to reduce wait
time. Custom color amps may experience a slight delay on these models, but overall
wait times are coming down considerably this year. Talk to your dealer or call us
direct for more info.

New CD from Marc Ford
Headstrong endorser Marc Ford's new CD entitled Weary and Wired is out and you
can place an order at Shrapnel records as well as other online CD marketplaces. We
have heard this record and it is a killer. Marc used his LK 115C amp as he puts it
"all over the record".

Headstrong releasing new Brown Verbrovibe
We recently started our prototype of the new Headstrong "Verbrovibe" amp. The
Verbrovibe is another first for Headstrong as it is the world's first exact replica of
the 1963 Brown 2X10 Vibroverb® amp. The price for the originals (if you can find one)
is now in the $7-$10K range. This is a highly desired amp as it was only made for
one year and it was the first Fender® amp to feature reverb in the circuit. We have a
tentative release date of 03/07. Update: Verbrovibe is now available!

Headstrong is building a brand new one-off Prima 30 in the VG magazine 20th

Black Crowes touring with Prima Amps
The Black Crowes have been using some of the Prima Amps on their recent fall tour.
Rich Robinson has been using the Prima 30 head as well as the new Prima Verbrato
unit.

Headstrong Assists Musicians displaced By Hurricane Katrina
Headstrong recently built amplifiers for Bryan Lee and Rickie Castrillo who lost most
if not all of their equipment in Hurricane Katrina. Brian Lee received a King Reverb
amplifier at a party hosted by WGLT-FM. Rickie Castrillo received a BL 310 and BL
Tweed Verbrato unit. We hope that with these amps they can continue to entertain
people from around the globe. For more info on how you can help these and other

T-Bird guitarist Kirk Fletcher playing a Lil' King
WC Handy nominee and guitarist for the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Kirk Fletcher is
currently using his Lil' King Reverb amp on gigs in and around the LA area. He will
also be using his Lil' King on the soundtrack to the upcoming motion picture "What
Love Is" due for release later this year. You can read more about Kirk at the

Headstrong attends Delta Groove Showcase in Memphis
We recently returned from a business trip in Memphis TN. We attended the Delta
Groove Productions showcase at the New Daisy Theatre on Beale Street. Those
performing included, Headstrong endorsee Kirk Fletcher, T-Bird front man, Kim
Wilson, Rusty Zinn, Kid Ramos, Jr. Watson, Mitch Kashmar and many others...
